No Paintbrushes Creative Workshops
Upliftment - encouragement - joy
The No Paintbrushes philosophy is simple:
- No Rules
- No Mistakes
- No Pressure
- No Perfectionism
These principles are woven into what Marie calls the Freedom Technique and Mind-less Presence, encouraging people to let go of expectations, trust their instincts, be in the moment and enjoy the experience of creating.
And they don’t stop at the canvas.
The same freedom to explore, experiment and create without judgement flows through all of Marie’s creative experiences.
-
Milk Carton Butterflies
Transform everyday plastic milk cartons into colourful butterflies using marker pens and a little imagination. Cut, colour and decorate each one your own way, then watch discarded packaging become something bright, playful and completely unique.
-
Wire Weaving
A fun, easy craft that turns simple wire and beads into an unusual hanging decoration. Twist, loop and weave the wire in your own way, add colour with beads, and create a piece that is wonderfully individual.
-
Egg Carton Poppies
Re-imagine a humble cardboard egg carton into a collection of delightful blooms. Shape, paint and assemble each flower by hand, then bring them to life with colour and character. Celebrate Anzac Day with striking red poppies, or explore every colour under the sun for a display that can brighten the rest of the year.
Each project is different, but the invitation remains the same:
To experiment, trust your instincts, respond to what unfolds and enjoy the process without worrying about getting it “right”.
The process of creating in this way can be liberating, allowing for spontaneous expression, problem-solving and maybe even a new or renewed passion for creativity.
-
Twig Art
Create with twigs, gumnuts, wire, wool and whatever else inspires you. Weave, wrap, twist, bind and build your own nature-inspired piece. There are no rules, and the possibilities are endless.
-
Felted Bookmark
Bring a little colour to your reading with a handmade bookmark. Using felt, ribbon and buttons, simple over stitch becomes a calm, satisfying rhythm, creating a cheerful little companion to tuck between the pages of a favourite book.
-
Paper Kissed Pots
Use a simple cutting and pasting technique with colourful serviettes on a terracotta pot. Create a one-of-a-kind plant pot, stationery holder, bathroom caddy or benchtop bits and bobs.
Whether working with paint, paper, fabric, recycled materials or elements from nature, participants are encouraged to slow down, stay curious and give themselves permission to be in the moment and create in their own way.
-

Each workshop is designed to foster a nurturing environment where everyone can feel comfortable expressing themselves.
Whether you are a seasoned creative or a novice, every workshop caters to all skill levels and ages.
The joy of creating art is not just about the final product; it's about the experience, the connections made, and the personal journey of self-discovery and art-making.

Felted Friends
Stitch a colourful felt bird using simple running stitch, over stitch or blanket stitch, then add your own personality with ribbon, buttons and tiny embellishments. Pop one onto a gift, hang a few together, or perch one somewhere unexpected just to make you smile.
-
Wool Weaving
Use twigs, pop sticks or kebab sticks and colourful wool to create a cheery woven decoration. Wrap, weave and layer your colours, then embellish with feathers, beads and shells to make each piece completely your own.
-
Re-Imagined

Bring a No paintbrushes experience to your group
Shires, Libraries & Corporate Groups
Bring people together through creativity, connection and shared experience. No Paintbrushes is an inclusive, hands-on workshop requiring no artistic experience. Perfect for community programs, library events, wellbeing initiatives and corporate teams, each session encourages people to relax, explore, connect and enjoy doing something refreshingly different.
Aged Care Residents are introduced to an unusual collection of tools and textures that most people have never used for art before. The novelty of the materials often sparks curiosity, laughter and conversation among the group. Because there are no rules or expectations around the outcome, residents tend to relax quickly and simply enjoy the process of exploring colour and pattern.
Kids & Teens will enjoy the No Paintbrushes experience during school holidays. Marie's approach helps young people explore their creativity in a way that feels empowering, relaxed, and fun, while also nurturing emotional awareness and resilience.
Couples that play together stay together. Reconnect through colour, creativity, laughter, and shared discovery. Because art (like love) is best when it’s free-flowing and fun. Gather your friends for a creative evening or join an event for a date that’s truly different.
Mums 'n' Bubs, Dads Too! A heart-centred art experience at your parents group. For new parents who crave a moment to breathe, slow down, play, and reconnect. It’s not about making perfect art. It’s about rediscovering themselves amid the beautiful chaos of early parenthood. Babies are close by, laughter is encouraged, and every mark on the canvas becomes a reminder that creativity heals, connects, and uplifts. Maybe even a tiny handprint or two will complete the artwork.
Celebrate your Bride-to-Be Party, Birthday, or Family fun day.
Marie will bring the No Paintbrushes art experience to your home or chosen venue, creating a relaxed and nurturing space for you and your guests to unwind, connect, and play with colour. It’s a fulfilling, fun, and fabulously enJOYable way to make art and memories that will last a lifetime.
