A sample of impressionistic paintings and poetic reflections.

Defining features of Marie's art is the use of vibrant colours, 'loose' paint application which creates movement and texture.  These elements combined, allow the viewer to perceive the artwork as a whole rather than focusing on intricate details. This technique is used to create a sense of lightheartedness and spontaneity, with an invitation for viewers to engage with a piece on a deeper level.

Abracadabra

A rose like no other

Deep burgundy red bloom

With magical yellow ribbons

Extra-ordinary

Exciting

Displaying its own uniqueness

Standing out from the crowd

With its WOW factor

Yellow roses grouped together

Emanating pure JOY

Following Abracadabra....

The star of the show

Cordelia

The one who gives freely

Her loving heart

Precious

Oh precious Cordelia

Your sweet essence

Of healing

Of generosity

And gentleness

Is received

And welcomed by all

Thankyou beautiful Cordelia

Daisies in Springtime

Daisies in Springtime

Sprinkled across the pasture

Grow in the sunshine

Sweet little blooms

Brimming with smiles

Reminding us of childhood

Necklaces of daisy chains

Flowers in our hair

Sweet innocense

Sprinkled like fairy dust

Far and wide

Delicate blossoms

The bringers of JOY

Fireworks

People gather

It's celebration time

Laughter can be heard

Excited squeals fill the air

Gasps and awe

As boom, boom, boom

Fireworks like rockets

Shoot upwards

Into the dark night

Lighting up the sky

Explosions of colour

Shimmer and bright

It's a memorable sight

Peaceful

I am a whimsical tree

Part of Marie's enchanted forest

One of a kind

I stand tall

In my unique beauty

I can bend and bow

To and fro

Just like you!

I am strong

I am flexible

I am part of Mother Natures' power

Connected to the Earth

I emanate Love

I emanate Peace

I emanate Abundance

Emanating all the qualities

Of an Enchanted Life

The Eagle Has Landed

This mark making was completed in 2017. It wasn't until the end of 2023 that I saw the eagle within the artwork. It is symbolic of my personal and spiritual growth.
