Angelica is open to interpretation by the viewer. To Marie's eye she is an angel, hence her name. It was painted in the reverse direction and it wasn't until it was turned around that Marie saw the angel within the markings. A picture of the artwork in reverse direction is included as it is compelling to the eye. Either way it will capture your interest and you will undoubtedly see something new every time you look at it.  Discover Angelica and see the angel within!
